The Lake West Chamber was excited to have a ribbon cutting for T & T Artistry welcoming them into the Chamber membership. T&T Artistry located is at 118 S. Main in Laurie and owned by Diana and husband Robert Trimble. They moved to Laurie in 2000 to be close to their daughter who lives in Kansas City. Together they opened the first Bead Store on the "Quiet Side" of the Lake. It was originally located in the lower level of the Laurie Terrace Mall. As mixed medium artists their main focus is on jewelry and they carry one of the most extensive collections of Gem Stone Beads in Missouri, as well as, rough (uncut) Rocks and Gems, loose finished Gems, findings, tools, and supplies for making your own jewelry. T & T Artistry offers classes by appointment in beading and wire wrap, also finished Fine Jewelry in Silver and Gold with a Southwest flair, Jewelry repair and restoration. They encourage you to be a part of the design process when making custom jewelry in Silver and/or gold. With over 20 years experience in the International Gem and Mineral Trade they have an impressive collection of Rocks, Gems, Fossils, Minerals and Crystals, and a wealth of knowledge, as well as, connections in the field of Gems and Fine Jewelry. Their main focus is on Quality "Natural Materials" and draw inspiration from Nature rather than Glass and Plastic. They share information on the Metaphysical Properties of Gems and Minerals and Healing with Crystals. In addition to Jewelry, Robert cuts, carves and sculptures rocks and gems, and they both work with glass, ceramics, wood and many other unique materials.
