Customer Reviews:
  1. "In the money!" plenty of coins for everyone
Purchased these coins to go with a recently purchased slot machine. The kids have a blast with the machine and a pack of 500 tokens is more than enough to have fun with.
  2. False advertising.
Boo, hiss. This product claims the tokens have a "tree-like design" on both sides; this is blatantly false. I will be returning the tokens I just bought as soon as the post office is open.

How does one strike metal coin-like tokens by hand as a home hobby?

This includes engraving dies and procuring the proper planchets, which could well be gold or silver, but more commonly, bronze or nickel. It is not to counterfeit, but to have personally-made tokens, like they use with game machines.

You can't make them as cheap as a private mint. It would cost a fortune for the die making machines, as well as a minting press. Even if you did the ancient thing of two dies, a pair of tongs and a hammer, you still have to know how to harden the dies you make.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

If they are in decent shape, they are collectors items. Check out poker chips on Ebay. Some epople would even by just one to act as a card guard or token.

AC/DC Monopoly: A Rock/Metal Spin on the Classic Board Game

Has arrived.

The completely customized version of the iconic Parker Brothers game features an updated playing surface, swapping the more traditional properties, such as “Park Place” and “Water Works,” with the band’s most popular albums and locations including Black Ice, Stiff Upper Lip, and AC/DC Lane, essentially allowing fans to build their own AC/DC empire.

Replacing the standard small metal tokens that players use to move around the board’s edge are more rock-appropriate ones which include a cannon, a bundle of dynamite, a bell on fire, Angus’s school boy hat, stacks of cash, and a lightning bolt – similar to the one in the band’s logo.

For those of you itching to get your hands on a copy of the AC/DC Collector’s Edition, you can purchase it directly from the official AC/DC store .

Also, it should be noted that success doesn’t always come in the same form. While some people envision success as living on the waterfront in a multi-million dollar glass and steel box, others would prefer a small cabin in a little known wood. Understanding what makes you happy is a big part of realizing your success. As I can tell you from meeting with these illustrious folks, not all successful people live the same way. Just focus on what it is that you love. The rest is easy.

I was brought up in Australia, where we got rid of 1¢ and 2¢ coins in my childhood. Nobody missed them, at least as I recall. I certainly didn't: they were useless, even at the age when I might by lollies (candy) for 2¢ apiece. But then again, I'd never buy one, and with the new changes if I bought six of them, I'd get them for a discount as the price would be rounded down to 10¢. Besides, petrol (gas) was priced including fractions of a cent per litre, and nobody worried we didn't have 0.1¢ coins. So why worry about those little copper coins? Besides, few transactions are done with cash these days anyway, and with debit cards and bank transfers you can still account for the pennies, even if you can't count them using metal tokens.
