Not real amber.
I purchased this item and once I recieved it I put it on the baby. It looks great on and it's the perfect size. After a while I noticed it had no effect when she started teething. I had my father test the bead to see if they were real, turns out they are plastic :( -
Looks cute but doesn't do anything
We just received our two necklaces for our twins hoping it would help with their teething. Well, all it does is look cute on them. Made absolutely no difference in crankiness or drooling. We also did more research to see how to test ourselves to see if they are even real. I am absoluely not...

Many people used a metal strip covered with cloth and used as a necklace for babies teething problems. What benefit it does and what type of metal is used ?
People also used whiskeys, and the supersticious crickets nest around the neck...I wouldn't reccomend it!!!

SHOREWOOD — The bright and sunny day matched the smiles on the faces of babies being judged at the recent annual Shorewood Crossroads Festival Beautiful Baby Contest.
Babies from birth to 48 months were judged in a preliminary photo round by 50 judges from many backgrounds and communities.
There were 106 photos submitted for judging. The 30 finalists appeared at the Shorewood Crossroads Festival for judging Aug. 6.
Winners were:
birth to six months, Bella Semplinski, daughter of Gina Isabelli and Eric Semplinski of Joliet.
7-12 months, Nia Luanne Contant, daughter of Justin and Melissa Contant, of Shorewood.
13-18 months, Dorian Giovanni Mordan, daughter of Athlia and Walt Mordan of Shorewood.
19-24 months, Sophia Krause, daughter of Coleen Krause of Channahon.
