Because Autism is a mystery, we don't know what causes it, or how to cure it. And though there are several treatment options such as intense behavioral therapies, no one thing works for every person with Autism. It is a puzzle, and is thus very appropriately represented by

White Castle Launches Autism Speaks Puzzle Piece Campaign
Continuing its commitment to Autism Speaks, White Castle will again participate in the Autism Speaks Puzzle Piece campaign. White Castle customers and employees can purchase a puzzle piece for $1, attach it to the castle wall and support the nation’s largest autism research and advocacy organization. Puzzle pieces are available July 24th through August 20th in all restaurants.
“In 2010, White Castle donated $500,000 to Autism Speaks from sales of the Original Slider candle and the puzzle piece campaign,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president of government and corporate communications.
Cravers purchased 384,190 puzzle pieces in 2010.
“We’re hoping that our customers and employees get the crave to support and give back to an organization White Castle is committed to helping,” Richardson said. “The goal is for Cravers to purchase more puzzle pieces this year so we can make a larger donation to Autism Speaks.

White Castle team members raised $500,000 for Autism Speaks in 2011 so be sure to visit your local Castle often to purchase a puzzle piece. The best way to support the campaign is to provide your feedback to White Castle thanking them for their support of our urgent mission. You can also call your local Castle directly, their number is located at the bottom of your register receipt.
