Hello Everyone,
This is going to be my first time going to Ecuador or Latin America altogether. We're planning to take a lot of stuff with us as we're going to stay there for at least 9 months studying Spanish.
I've traveled to and from Ecuador multiple times over the years. We've only had problems once when we brought some cheese with to Ecuador. It was removed from our bags. Oh and my dad had a camera stolen out of his suitcase about 10 years ago.

Annual summer festival will raise funds for new sanctuary at Ukrainian church ...
PARMA - For 12 years, Pokrova Ukrainian Greek Catholic Parish of Parma hosted a summer festival to celebrate Ukrainian culture.
This year the festival has special significance. That's because in October, Pokrova will open and bless a new shrine, which was under construction for two years.
Olga Migielicz, cultural director at the Board of Trustees Pokrova, waited long for this moment. She was a parishioner of his life and has seen church membership grow to about 250 families.
"There are a lot of life here in our parish," said Migielicz. "Therefore we are able to build at a time when no one else is anywhere in the building in the United States.
"They close the churches," said Migielicz. "We are building and growing, because we have young families and children."
The festival will take place Pokrova 6-11 pm today, 2:00 p.m. to 0:00 on Saturday and from 12 to 11 am Sunday. The church is at 6812 Broadview Road.
Jewelry Designer Anna Sheffield Shops at the Ukrainian Museum ...
New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Northern New Mexico-born and NYC-based jewelry designer Anna Sheffield says she's inspired by the concrete jungle that we live in. With a past CFDA nomination under her belt and many successful collaborations with everyone from 3.1 Philip Lim to Marc Jacobs to Target Go International , her work with haute costume jewelry, sterling, gold, and precious gems has been a New York staple for years now....

Jewellery Ukrainians always performed two functions – a protective and informative. First had oberegovye and ritual ornaments, which were only on TV – wedding rings, bracelets and crosses. Well, the ones that put over clothes, speaks eloquently of the host abundance: six threads coral namysta, for example, cost as a pair of oxen. Sylyanki or Braids – flat strips of beads, which are tied behind the neck. The name comes from the method of manufacturing such ornaments (sylyannya “- a way to stringing beads on a string. Rather narrow (two to three centimeters) sylyanki women wore every day as a guardian (silyanki force as a talisman is always determined by the ornament).
