Hulkamania Runs Wild on the Wii Brother!

Rodeo to feature a wide range of events in 2011
The only traditional rodeo events that won't be found this year are calf roping and steer wrestling, said Joe Johnston, who with his wife and sons operate Super Kicker Rodeo. The company is bringing the rodeo to the fair.
"It's hard to come by steer wrestlers," Johnston said. "In Michigan there's just one set of wrestlers (with the needed) steers and horses. So if they're busy we can't do that."
All this year's rodeo sports are open to men and women except barrel racing, which is a women's sport. Women run around three barrels in a clover leaf pattern on horseback and are clocked to the thousandth of a second, he said.
"That one's really big in Midland," Johnston said. "Midland has a lot of good barrel racers."
Bull riding and bareback and saddle bronc riding pit the human against the clock in a different way. This time, the objective is to stay on the animal for eight seconds.
"Bronc riders are getting harder and harder to come by," Johnston said. "It's a lot easier to do bull riding" because there's less equipment involved and because it's easier to learn and practice. In addition, there are fewer places to get access to the trained practice horses, who try to buck off their riders but don't give them treatment so rough as the buckers that come out of the chute for the actual competition.
