Customer Reviews:
  1. great
    arrived fast, good quality, works very well. I've had this for a few months now and it is still holding up.
  2. Does it's job.
    It does the job, but is kind of chunky compared to the chain I bought this to extend. It is something I notice, but when I leave my hair down nobody knows.

I use gold plated clasps to make my jewellery and now they are tarnished. Will gold filled findings be ok ?

or shall I use 9ct gold. Where can I get them.

I'm not a jewelry 'expert', BUT if you have "gold" that tarnishes, it is NOT GOLD !!

I hope someone can give you an answer to YOUR question, but beware if that manufacturer is claiming those pieces are actually GOLD, they are LYING.

You should be able to have it sanded and filed down and polished to a nice even finish, just remember to try and check the person doing the work and make sure he will gurantee the work.

Gold Filled Toggle Clasp | Business Foundation

//-->

Gold filled toggle clasp is a two-piece clasp which is at opposite ends of a jewelry piece. One end of the clasp has an open center which could be round, oval, square or some other shape. THe other end is a t-bar which attaches to the components there. Normally, the ‘T’ is inserted into the hole which holds the jewelry in place.

Gold filled toggles having oval or square openings are simpler to get on and off and relatively more secure than round ones. These clasps are mostly used to secure necklaces, anklets and bracelets.

How to Craft a Gold filled Toggle Clasp Jewelry

The end where the where the gold filled toggle bar will be placed should be longer and narrower as compared to other types of clasps. You will require a bit of extra length to put the t-bar through the opening of the other end when taking the jewelry off or putting it on. The beads near the T-bar, should not hinder the moment of the t-bar through the opening of the gold filled toggle clasp. These types of clasps are very popular and widely used in jewelry. Buy a gold filled toggle clasp and enhance your personality. It is worth every penny and will not leave you disappointed. This is the latest trend which is likely to continue in the future....

My Jewelry Findings: Gold Filled Findings in Jewelry Making

Jewelry findings can serve the purely functional purpose of clasping two ends of a bracelet or necklace together or as an earring post, a purely decorative purpose such as adding texture and glamour to both ends of a bead, or the dual purpose of function and embellishment. Many jewelry findings are beautifully designed and attract the eye in their own right. The key is to choose the right finding to complement a particular piece of jewelry, and that means that sometimes a simple finding style is best. Here are some options for gold-filled jewelry findings, both minimal and elaborate. Gold filled rings : Split rings are made of wire that goes around twice, like a tiny key ring, making the piece more secure. Spring rings have a curved, hollow wire that fits into a hollow, circular tube and is secured by a coiled spring on the inside. Gold-filled spring ring clasp findings are available with either a closed or open attached...
